Robots Service
Since young cancer patients often need to spend long periods of time in hospital for treatment, this usually means that they miss weeks or months of school, which can lead to them withdrawing from their social life and feeling isolated and depressed. Canteen’s Robots Service provides support for young people with cancer by connecting them back to school and with their peers.
The Canteen Robot is an innovative piece of teleconferencing technology that enables young cancer patients to attend school and converse with their teachers, friends and family in real-time from their hospital bed or from the comfort of their home.
Canteen’s vision is to provide a robot to every young cancer patient who needs one.
